Prayer by Don Divo Barsotti
O God, behold, I prostrate myself before you, in the abyss in my nothingness I adore you.
I trust in your infinite love that you will listen to my poor word and accept it. Therefore I ask you: deign to accept my consecration and to receive from the hands of my sweet Mother all of myself.
I offer myself and I give myself entirely to you in my vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.
But since oblation does not make the sacrifice, you destroy this victim yourself, consuming it in the fire of your holy love.
O God, who pleases you in manifesting your divine perfections in the weakness and misery of your lowest servants and in the darkness of faith, please make your children who have not known how to offend you, do your work and glorify your Most Holy Name in me, raising my prayer in your omnipotence, listening to it in your wisdom, accomplishing it in your infinite love. Amen.
