La seconda giornata di Benedetto XVI in Benin è iniziata al Palazzo presidenziale di Cotonou, dove ha incontrato il presidente e i responsabili politici e religiosi del Paese. Il Papa ha pronunciato un vibrante discorso, tutto incentrato sulla speranza, ricordando la spinta verso la libertà espressa negli ultimi mesi anche da tanti popoli africani. Quindi, ha rivolto un appello ai leader politici del mondo affinché combattano scandali e ingiustizie e non privino i loro popoli della speranza. Au second jour de son voyage apostolique au Bénin le Pape a signé, ce samedi 19 novembre, l’exhortation apostolique post-synodale Africae Munus. Une signature qui a eu lieu dans la basilique de Ouidah. Benoît XVI était entouré des membres du Conseil spécial pour l’Afrique du synode des évêques, ainsi que des évêques et des fidèles du Bénin.
