Padre Anibal : how to live as Slaves of the Eucaristic and the Virgin Mary

- Our way of life which is very strongly marked by the hidden moments of Jesus in Nazareth with Mary and Joseph.

- We are called to live a hidden life, a hidden, silent life, a life that has the flavour of the little house, of the little handmaid of Yahweh. Our life is hidden, silent, not showy, not publicly recognised and publicly applauded.

-We should be characterised by that self-abasement, that inanity, that being nothing, that littleness, that silence that should envelop our fraternity... that hidden life. To live hidden in the mystery of God's Nazareth, where Jesus, Joseph and Mary lived, unaware of the looks and words of the men of the time.

- How beautiful it is to live and die in the region of silence, in the Nazareth where Jesus is hidden and deliciously savours the love of Mary, the love of the Father, the love of St. Joseph!

- "From contemplation she even becomes a teacher in the intimate intimacy with God". That is to say, the Virgin who became a teacher of contemplation precisely because she lived the heartbeat of Jesus in every instant and every moment.

-That is why the enclosure that ...reigns in the whole house is to save this place as a house of God, as a living Nazareth. A living Nazareth that means to adore, a living Nazareth that means to love, a living Nazareth that means to give ourselves to Jesus fully... to embrace him, to offer him the most beautiful of our words and the most intimate of our heart.

-Our lives are stamped with the seal of Nazareth, hidden in our heart shrines, hidden in our dwelling shrines, hidden in this great shrine that we want this whole house to be. We want this house to be called Nazareth, all of it, where the Blessed Virgin lives, where St. Joseph walks, and where Jesus has made his dwelling?

-Our spirituality, we said, is slave-owning. It is slavery, that is to say that we feel called to live the maternal slavery, the maternal slavery as taught by the Saint of Monfort.

-The act of consecration in the situation of slavery indicates a singular dependence and an unbounded trust... that is maternal slavery! We depend in a unique way on the Blessed Virgin, we depend in a very special way on the Blessed Virgin.

- "The Holy Father says that this means a singular dependence and at the same time a trust without limits, that is to say, that we abandon ourselves completely to the Blessed Virgin and trust that the Blessed Virgin will do, will work, will work, will raise her sceptre in favour of her Slaves.

-We lose everything, we lose everything... in the hands of Our Lady, to win everything, to win the life of grace, to obtain eternal life, to free ourselves from the tyranny of the flesh, from the tyranny of sin. We lose everything for her... all for Her.

- The Blessed Virgin occupies a singular place in our life. We depend totally on her and we entrust ourselves totally to her. That is why we cannot be surprised that in every corner of our house, there is an altar of Our Lady.

13. Along with this slavery to Our Lady.... we also apply it to the Eucharist; in the Church... slavery to the Eucharist has not been used. For we too are slaves...just as we are slaves to the Blessed Virgin, so we are slaves to the Eucharist. That is to say that our illusion is to adore that Eucharist, our illusion is to celebrate that Eucharist, our mission is to eat that Eucharist, to value that Eucharist, to have that reverence, that delicacy?

- Let it be seen that we, in front of the Eucharist, we place ourselves as slaves, we kneel with both knees and we prostrate ourselves to the bottom.

-We, in front of the Eucharist, kneel down and throw our head to the ground, even if it is not exposed...even if it is not exposed. We get there and kneel with both knees and throw ourselves to the ground signifying that this is our brother, our Lord and our King, and that we are totally dependent on him.

-The Slave... is a person who does not speak much. When he speaks, he speaks to his Lord and of his Lord he speaks...Of what is ours, no one need know, of what is ours no one need know, of what is ours no one need know,...may a mysterious and supernatural breath envelop us...always, always. May all that is ours be unique for us...very delicate.

-That is why we live this slavery which I believe...is the future of the Church because it is a way of saving us through her and his mission, in his admirable sacrament.

- For the gospel, freedom is love...freedom is love. Freedom is dependence on God, freedom is joy in God, freedom is eating God, freedom is falling in love with God, freedom is putting heart-to-heart with God, freedom is letting God kiss and caress us...May we be slaves...may we be slaves indeed, humble, simple, spontaneous, joyful, but also intimately guarding the secrets of the Great King.

19. The Great King has given each one of us some secrets. Those secrets we do not have to tell to anyone. Those secrets we keep to ourselves...the secrets of His intimacy, the secrets of His tenderness, the secrets of the trials that enable the struggles with the devil, the secrets of our hidden penances. Keep those secrets...the Slave keeps secrets for his King.

-The Slave, then, means that out of love you give yourself totally to Jesus, out of love you give yourself totally to Mary...totally, completely, serenely...you give yourself totally...to your chains together with her hands and together with her Eucharist.
