Our Life and Charism

Contraportada Father

“We are a contemplative community, which is centered on the adoration, praise, and reparation, day and night, to Jesus Christ Victim in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar and the perfect Consecration to His Immaculate Mother in a Covenant of Love as Her slaves of Love in the little Schoenstatt Shrine.” (from our Constitutions)

Our motto or community ideal is LOVE AND IMMOLATION. These two words cannot be separated on our pilgrimage toward God. Divine Love, first for God and, from Him, for neighbor, is to be the guiding and motivating principle of our lives. But charity cannot be lived with authenticity and sincerity unless it is within a climate of immolation, which was exactly the climate in which Jesus Christ lived his love, dying for us as a victim on the Cross.

Our principal patron saints are St. Joseph, St. Michael the Archangel, and St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort.

Secondary patrons are St. Aloysius Gonzaga, St. Teresa of Jesus, St. Catherine of Siena, St. John of the Cross, St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus and St. Maximilian Kolbe.
