Michael Müller, C.SS.R, speaks of sacrifice repeatedly: The Sacrifice before the coming of Christ; the sacrifice of the New Law; the Mass as a Sacrifice of adoration and infinite praise, a Sacrifice of propitiation, a Sacrifice of thanksgiving, and a Sacrifice of impretration [petition by prayer], devoting an entire chapter to each. He also has chapters dedicated to the renewal of Christ's Passion, an extension of the Sacrifice, and a special chapter on the Mass as the Hope of the dying---the value of the Mass, its dignity and sanctity, and why Catholics must be reverent at Holy Mass.
