5 fondations sont nées en France et aux USA. Notre-Dame de Fontgombault offre aux visiteurx de passage l'une des plus belle liturgie d'aujourd'hui, avec des chants grégorien d'une grande beauté. Ce documentaire raconte l'histoire de ce lieu extraordinaire, et montre la vie des moines aujourd'hui, partagés entre la prière et le travail. Forte interpellation pour le monde que cet appel à une vie aussi radicale, austère et pourtant qualifiée par un jeune moine "d'aventure intérieure". Ce nouveau film nous laisse un peu entrevoir le mystère de leurs vies... Besides being the Patroness of France, Our Lady in the mystery of Her Assumption is also the Patroness of the Abbey of Fontgombault. The Introit, Alleluia, Holy Communion Propers, and Kyrie IX presented in this video are just a few of the extracts from a High Mass of the Assumption chanted by the Monastic Choir of the Abbey Notre-Dame de Fontgombault, France. Originally recorded and released in 1973, by Jean Allard. Arranged for CD in 1997 by Jean-Yves Martineau. Whilst this album is delivered to us by the Abbey of Notre Dame de Fontgombault, our thoughts go out to all those affected by the fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, as well as all those who helped combat the fire, especially the firemen.
This video is now dedicated to the great treasure that is Notre Dame Cathedral, and its great history. Its legacy will live on. Hopefully this work of art will help bring peace to everyone who has Notre Dame in their hearts and minds.
